We took one of our most popular Courtyard Collection floor plans, Middleton Place, and with a few facade changes, adapted it to the classic style of a Charleston single side home. This plan has been a favorite of ours and our clients for multiple reasons. For entertaining purposes, the dining room and great room are only steps from one another. For cozy family gatherings, the kitchen contains a keeping room with a gas log fireplace. The breakfast room and great room open onto a private deck or courtyard. The first floor master suite is tucked away from family activity and features a spacious bath and closet.
The stairs to the second floor originate from the kitchen, which will keep traffic through the house to a minimum. The stairs lead to a large sitting and activity area, which overlook the kitchen below. If desired, this space can be floored, creating yet another room. A small computer office is also offered by this well-designed plan. The three upstairs bedrooms are all spacious in size, each with its own walk-in closet.
